Magic Floor Productions are proud to be touring Meat across the region, bringing this powerful East Anglian story to audiences in the very places where its history unfolded. Written by acclaimed playwright James McDermott, Meat is a bold and thought-provoking historical drama that explores identity, desire and sexuality in rural England. Set in Diss, Norfolk, the play tells the little-known true story of Robert Carleton, a 17th-century tailor, and his secret relationship with his apprentice, Jon Lincoln. The story takes a dark turn when Jon's fiancée, Mary, comes for dinner with the two tailors. Through powerful storytelling and poetic language, Meat reimagines Carleton's experience with heart and humanity, inviting audiences to confront the past while reflecting on how far we've come—and how far we still have to go.

Enjoy the spirit of Christmas with the man himself alongside his lovely wife, Mrs Claus. The audience will last approximately 15 minutes, where Santa will share captivating tales, sing festive songs, and interact with the children.

Expect fun, laughter and a little bit of silliness! The group setting makes a perfect opportunity for school friends, cousins and neighbours to all meet Santa together. But don’t worry, there will still be time for each child to tell him their special Christmas Wish! 🎁

Once Santa and Mrs Claus have filled the children’s hearts with festive cheer, Santa Elves will take them into the beautifully decorated Guildhall Large Court for up to an hour of festive activities, all included in the price! ❄️🎄

We are incredibly lucky to have the peerless Simon Evans headlining this spectacular night right here in Thetford! One of the UK’s most sophisticated and critically acclaimed stand-ups, Simon is a household name from Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, and his hit BBC Radio 4 series. His sharp, acerbic wit and hilariously posh take on the modern world make him an absolute must-see.

Joining him is the brilliant Ben Norris, a true veteran of the UK circuit and Comedy Store regular, known for his lightning-fast improvisation and razor-sharp observational comedy.
