The Carnegie
Built in 1968, The Carnegie remains the largest venue for hire in Thetford town centre for over 50 years. With a fully equipped stage and professional production lighting, the Carnegie offers an unmatched setting for theatre, performance, concerts, and dynamic corporate presentations.
It's 300-person capacity and rake seating facilities mean The Carnegie can accommodate everything from conferences, exhibitions, community events and training sessions to fitness classes, markets, fundraising events and private functions.

Commercial Event Bookings:
Any ticketed events, including concerts, theatre productions, comedy shows, tribute acts, dance school showcases, and wrestling performances etc. are not subject to our standard hourly hire rates.

The Guildhall
The Guildhall is an iconic Grade II listed landmark. The venue boasts stunning Edwardian civic architecture, including wooden panelled courtrooms, Venetian bay windows and an ornate swan-necked pediment. This is a sophisticated backdrop for special occasions and business meetings alike.
Hireable spaces include:

The Large Court - an 80 person hall with grand barrel-vaulted ceiling. Perfect for wedding ceremonies, exercise classes, markets and events.

The Small Court - a 40 person space with café/bar facilities. Perfect for group meetings, workshops, performances. (currently closed and housing The Banking Hub).

The Council Chamber - an intimate wood panelled space for 20. This room lends itself to meetings, corporate events and functions.

Bar
Both The Carnegie and The Guildhall are equipped with their own fully licensed bars. While the Banking Hub is temporarily operating out of the Small Court in The Guildhall, this space can operate as a bottle bar.
Whether you're looking for a simple drinks service, a prosecco reception, or a bar serving a range of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks our services can be negotiated for your hire needs. Where possible, we use local produce from independent suppliers to support local.
During events, the bar is normally open from the 'doors open' time on tickets.
