The ELO Encounter Blue Sky Tour

15 August 2025

Roll over Beethoven, because the greatest tribute to Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra is here! In an all live show featuring soaring strings, striking vocal harmonies and playing all the much loved songs from ELO’s hit-filled library including Evil Woman, Telephone Line and Don’t Bring Me Down. The ELO Encounter promises a night filled with rock, roll and Blue Skies that would make even Mozart mambo and Bach boogie! So Hold On Tight because Rock and Roll Is King in a show that is guaranteed to have you partying All Over The World.

Not only flawlessly recreating the wonderful music of ELO, it’s a spectacular live show from start to finish. Stunning lights and special effects create an atmosphere that will have you fully immersed in the whole experience. As the ELO Encounter reel off ELO classic hit after hit, it’s guaranteed to have the hairs on the back of your neck dancing in time to the music!

As a recent reviewer remarked, “Not really a tribute, that cheapens what this band does, which is to transport you back to those days. So sensitively and authentically done, at times it felt like it was actually ELO being mirrored up there on the stage”.

That’s what The ELO Encounter tribute show is all about.

★★★★★ “Best Tribute band we have seen at the Fisher in a very very long time.” - Fisher Theatre

The Welkin

22 August 2025

A Magic Floor Production
Directed by Craig Plumley
The Welkin, by Lucy Kirkwood, is a powerful and thought-provoking drama set on the Suffolk and Norfolk border in 1759. The play centres on the trial of Sally Poppy, a young woman accused of a gruesome murder. Sally’s fate rests in the hands of twelve women. The women are called upon as a jury to decide whether she is pregnant. If true, would spare her from execution.
These women, who come from various walks of life, deliberate Sally’s case but they reveal their own secrets, prejudices, and struggles. The play explores themes of justice, womanhood, and the complexities of truth. With its richly drawn characters and intense moral dilemmas, “The Welkin” by Lucy Kirkwood shines a light on the harsh realities of life for women in the 18th century and resonates with contemporary issues of gender and power. The gripping narrative and emotional depth make it a compelling and impactful piece of theatre.

Talking Heads

29 October 2025

The Play’s The Thing Theatre Company
Presents
Talking Heads by Alan Bennett

A Lady Of Letters
Irene Ruddock is not afraid to speak, or rather write, her mind about society’s faults. She writes to her MP, the Queen, the police, the local crematorium and the chemist – in fact everyone she can to suggest how to remedy these ills. When she suspects a neighbouring couple of child abuse though things become very serious.

Soldiering On
Stoicism is seen as a particular strength of the British character and no-one is more stoical than Muriel who we meet just after husband Ralph’s funeral. She’s part of the posh “country set” and Ralph has left her a very rich widow, but there’s a liquidity problem according to son Giles and Ralph was apparently not all he seemed either.

DS:UK Brothers in '85 - A Dire Straits Tribute

15 November 2025

DS:UK are BACK with one of their most beloved tours - “Brothers in ’85”.
In 1985, Dire Straits were at the apex of their career as one of the biggest music brands and concert touring bands in the world. Still today, Mark Knopfler remains one of our most beloved guitarists in modern Rock.
Their biggest album, Brothers in Arms, still sits in the top 10 of the best selling albums in chart history, and 2025 sees 40 years since the release of this seminal album.
“DSUK…in tribute to Dire Straits” began touring in 2016 and have quickly become regarded as *the* quintessential tribute band among Dire Straits fans with their incredible attention to musical and sonic detail, the humour, fun, and interesting history that they pack into their shows.
To say that “dS:uK” sound like Dire Straits is an understatement. And don’t take it from us - take it from our audience on the streets:
“…these guys are the epitome of a tribute band: they play and sound like you want to them to…”
“…Thank you for a great evening in Worthing this week. Being a fan of Dire Straits for the last 50 years, you did not fail as a tribute band…”
Their 2025 “Brothers in 85” tour, once again, pays tribute to the worldwide Brothers in Arms tour, with the band bringing fans the ultimate 1985 Dire Straits experience and all of those legacy songs that you want to hear, including Sultans of Swing and Money for Nothing!
Here comes Johnny singing oldies goldies.... itʼll truly give you a shiver in the dark!
Donʼt miss it!

Stand Up in Thetford with Gary Delaney

5 December 2025

Gary Delaney is one of, if not the best, punslinging act in the whole country. A one man nuclear joke machine with electrifying pun-packed performances that have conquered the UK comedy circuit. A regular on Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo, his razor-sharp one-liners and infectious stage presence guarantee sold-out, laughter-fuelled nights. You will not want to miss this.

Angelos Epithemiou

Larger than life and straight out of the job centre, Angelos Epithemiou is the burger-van-owning, carrier-bag-clutching cult hero from Shooting Stars and beyond. A master of awkward chaos, Angelos delivers gloriously deadpan nonsense, surreal observations, and utterly baffling brilliance. Expect the unexpected and maybe a pasty from one of the most original characters in British comedy.

Darius Davies

Unfiltered, unpredictable, and undeniably funny Darius Davies is a high-octane comic who doesnt hold back. Whether tearing into topical issues, engaging in whip-smart crowd work, or spiralling into controlled madness, Darius leaves audiences laughing and slightly out of breath. Hes a favourite at clubs and festivals for a reason: comedy with bite, brains and buckets of energy.
